Montavilla Movie Night in the Park
movie night in Montavilla Park
The Montavilla Neighborhood Association is about to host it’s first ever Movie Night in the Park event. Festivities kick off at 4pm Saturday, August 22nd with City Blessing church’s kids carnival. There will also be vendors hosting children’s activities (I will be there applying temporary tattoos), food vendors and loads of people and fun. Get there early to get a good seat for the movie and if there is time to spare, hop across the street for the Manor of Art event going on at Milepost 5. We hope to see you there!

- Ya Jala Lebanese Restaurant – I’m going here tonight and will be loving it!!
Saturday
- Portland’s Largest Garage Sale at the Expo Center – 7am- 6pm, 2060 N Marine Dr, lots of stuff to buy
- Stumptown Comic Fest at the Lloyd Center Doubletree (all weekend) – 1000 NE Multnomah, more info here.
- 11th Annual Kitchen Revival Tour at the Architectural Heritage Center - 10am -4pm, $25 per person, See several wonderful period or historically accurate kitchens, 701 SE Grand Ave.

- Dooce is going to be at Powell’s on Burnside – at 7:30pm for a siging of her new book It Sucked and Then I Cried: How I Had a Baby, a Breakdown, and a Much Needed Margarita, get in line now, it will be packed with tons of moms and dads.

- Kidical Mass Family Bike Ride: Meet at 5:30 pm; rides start at 6:00 pm. There are three meeting locations that will all end at City Hall 1221 SW 4th at 6:30 for hot cocoa.
