Weekend Events in Portland – April 3rd – 5th
Here’s a list of some things going on around town this weekend. There is a lot of good music on Friday night, do I have to choose just one?
Friday
- Children’s Museum free admission all day until 8pm, 4015 SW Canyon Rd
- First Friday Art Reception at Press Club, free, 2621 SE Clinton
- 1,000 WORDS Art Opening at the Ugly Mug Coffeehouse, 6pm-8pm, 8017 SE 13th, free and a percentage of the sales will be donated to Transitions Global an organization fighting to stop human trafficking.
- Friday Night Follies at Janus Home 1324 SE Grande Ave, serving wine and some sales on vintage furniture, more details on other participating vendors here.
- Quasi at Backspace starts at 10pm, $8, 115 NW 5th, this doesn’t happen very often
- Mortified at Someday Lounge, like Cringe, people reading embarrassing diary entries mainly from High School, should be funny, 8:30pm $12 at the door,125 NW 5th ave
- Blue Giant at Doug Fir, 9pm, $12 at the door, 830 E Burnside
Saturday
- Pearl District Bunny Hop 10am – 6pm, more info on participating vendors here.
- David Rovics Pirate Songs at the Airplay Cafe, 5pm, $10 for a family, kids wearing eyepatches get a free cookie, 701 E Burnside
- Museum of Contemporary Craft presents Handmade Nation film screening, 12pm, $10, 724 NW Davis
Sunday
- Portland Cello Project at the Central Library, 2pm, free, 801 SW 10th Ave
- OMSI $2 admission all day 9:30am – 5:30pm, 1945 SE Water Ave
