Here are a couple of events going on in Portland this weekend that look like loads of fun.
Friday 2/27/2009
- Airplay, family friendly Andy Simon Sings–Happy Hour and Family Dinner Concert, 5:30-7pm, free. Located at 701 E Burnside
- Battlestar Galactica Final Season – final 10 episodes of “Battlestar Galactica.” Bagdad Theater (3702 SE Hawthorne Blvd). Doors open at 9:00 pm; show at 10:00 pm
- Tango Alpha Tango at the Someday Lounge, $7 starts at 9pm, located at: 125 NW 5th
- French Kicks at the Doug Fir $12 starts at 9pm, located at: 830 E Burnside
Saturday 2/28/2009
- Southeast Portland Area ARTWalk: The ARTWalk offers the opportunity to go on a free, self-guided tour of artists’ studios and home workspaces, as well as see local artwork in galleries, host homes and businesses within the “walkable/bikeable/busable” boundaries of SE 9th to SE 41st & SE Hawthorne to SE Powell Blvd. Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am–5:00 pm. - Portland Saturday Market starts this weekend Old Town at SW Ankeny + Naito Parkway (under the Burnside bridge)
- Architectural Heritage Center – Hidden Brilliance: The Residential Architecture of Joseph Jacobberger Oregon architect known for his design of the St. Mary’s Cathedral, churches and schools in Oregon.Cost $18, Located at: 701 S.E. Grand Ave.
- Rose City Rollers – Rose City Rollers Guns N Rollers vs High Rollers doors 5pm, starts at 5:45pm, Located at: Hangar at Oaks Park 7805 SE Oaks Park Way
- Airplay cafe family friendly Mo Phillips Music Spectacular, 5pm, $5 per person/$10 per family located at: 701 E Burnside
Sunday
- Martha Wainwright at The Doug Fir, 9pm $12. Located at: 830 E Burnside
